Now that Matt's on vacation (and out of the house), I've been revelling in early mornings and 2-3 hits of the Snooze button. Everyone (mostly Matt, Pat, Jenn and I) are freaking out about the insane amount of work we have to do in the next two weeks. Yesterday was "John and Natalie's Day of Fun" which took the form of sitting at the kitchen table from 9am-6pm working on a C&O assignment. Now that that's out of the picture (alright, we haven't actually gotten question #1 yet - according to John the fact that it's question #1 means it must be easy. This is false) I'm trying to write two papers due in my first year Fine Arts class. I wrote the first one this morning and it's done (It talks about Farbstudie Quadrate Mit Konzentrischen in reference to a writing by Kandinsky). Now I'm trying to write the second one and it's soooo painful (comparison of two writings about Matisse's Blue Nude. Souvenir of Biskra).

Someone help me out... this is the original reason I came to my computer. What does the phrase concomitant assertion mean to you? Especially in the phrase "... and a concomitant assertion of value sanctioned by tradition." It's used all the time. The definition of concomitant is "accompanying especially in a subordinate or incidental way". So is it less important than the first statement? Then why does everyone on the Internet seem to use it by itself?

Tying all of this together is the fact that when I get a lot done before noon, I find I'm less productive the rest of the day.

Hi from Amazon.com!

This summer I'll be working at Amazon in Seattle, Washington! Thanks to Ming (a friend currently at Amazon) for the help and support.

Maeve won a sex toy gift certificate with her Just Like Heaven mix tape. Rumour is that Queen's Womyn's Centre sells rabbits at cost.

Co-op is ruling my life!! We're in the middle of the interview period and it hasn't been going too shabbily. Every morning when I wake up the one thing that gets me out of bed is Access. Today when I logged on, there were 3 new 'NO's and no new 'YES's. I was so distraught that I went back to bed in a foul mood and finally woke up on the bitchy-side of the bed. But today when I got home from school, there was an email waiting for me for a follow-up interview at a company that I would definitely like to work for (way more than the 3 NOs I'd gotten this morning). I had written off the job in my mind and was actually upset at my performance in the preliminary interview. Now I feel elated!!

Now I must go and study for my FINE 112 midterm that's tomorrow. I just picked up Jen Dyck's old exam and it's much harder than I had planned for.
